Can-Am X3 Switch Pros Mount: Why the Right Mount Makes or Breaks Your Install
The Switch Pros 9100 and RCR are serious pieces of electrical hardware. But even the best switch panel is only as good as where it lives in your dash. A loose mount rattles, shifts under vibration, and eventually works its wiring loose at the worst possible time — miles from the trailhead.
That's the problem Reed Made Speed set out to solve. Our Can-Am X3 Switch Pros 9100 Mount and RCR Mount are CNC-machined from aircraft-grade billet aluminum, engineered specifically for the X3 dash — not adapted from a universal bracket.
How the Install Works
The factory push-to-start button on the Can-Am X3 mounts through a hole in the center console. Our mount uses that same hole. The install sequence matters:
- Mount the Switch Pros keypad to the billet mount first — the keypad screws in from behind, so it must be attached before the mount goes into the dash.
- Drop the assembled mount and keypad into the factory start button hole.
- Secure it from behind with the custom-machined nut included in the box.
No drilling. No new holes. No fabrication. Remove and replace — but do it in the right order.
Bezel or No Bezel — Pick Your Variant Before You Order
Switch Pros offers an optional bezel that snaps over the face of the keypad. Its purpose is functional, not cosmetic — the raised edges between buttons let you feel the separation with gloves on, which matters when you're moving fast on a rough trail and can't look down. Most riders skip it. The plastic bezel looks out of place next to billet aluminum and most people pull it off and never put it back on.
If you do want to run the bezel, you need the bezel-compatible variant of our mount — it's dimensioned to accommodate the bezel's additional depth and overlap. The standard variant is for running the keypad without a bezel. Pick the right one before you order.
9100 or RCR — Which Mount Do You Need?
The answer depends on which Switch Pros system you're running:
- Running the Switch Pros 9100 (8-channel)? You need the 9100 Mount.
- Running the Switch Pros RCR (12-channel)? You need the RCR Mount.

Everything You Need Is in the Box
Every mount ships with the custom-machined nut and all hardware required for installation. No trips to the hardware store, no sourcing specialty fasteners. The nut is machined to the same tolerances as the mount — it threads in clean and holds solid under vibration.
Built Where It's Used
Every Reed Made Speed mount is CNC-machined in Woodland, CA, with US materials and tools. Not assembled overseas and finished here — machined here, start to finish. That's what gives us the tolerance control to guarantee fitment on every X3 that comes off the line.
